DREAMS AETERNA is a French solo music project led by composer Julien Fey, based in Bourg‑en‑Bresse. Born in 2015 from local collaborations, the project officially launched with the double album Horizons of Tranquility in 2020, featuring 20 tracks that reflect several years of writing and production. Since then, Julien has released the EP “On Earth” in 2022 and the single AETERNA in 2024.
Double album, 20 tracks, art digipack, 5 years of composing, 2 years of waiting...This was something ! For an amateur musician, this project was huge, but entertaining and will last in memories. The result is surely meeting the expectations and undirectly quite a way to thank everyone who was involved. The timing was not perfect, dark times surrounded the last part of editing, but maybe the title of this album was premonitory. Horizons of Tranquility will be...
From a project to another, life brings sometimes great meetings and experiences. This was first the spark of creativity. Art piece "Le Néant", painted as a gimmick, a compass. Leading the way. Influences, bands, music, from classical to the most heavy of rock. We won't control life, we don't control time. New beginnings...This album is a snapshot of life, suffering, hopes, deceptions, bitterness, serenity, wrath, meditations and inner reflection...
Everything in this project is led by Julien Fey. But nothing is possible alone. Edouard Maurer (NoBox Studio) went in the first place to mix a classic 1CD 10 tracks album. Enthousiasm and strong influences where turning upside down everything for an entire new recording ! Unexpectedly, Aurélien Ouzoulias (Satan Jokers, Morglbl, The Prize) accepted to record all the drum tracks for a better acoustic sounding, prog spirit, like Edouard could do. But meanwhile, the project went from 10 to 20 tracks, half of the mixing, bringing double work for everyone ! Enthousiasm again...Freshness surely...
